Spider

Description:

A female spider guarding her egg. Possibly a Pisauridae based on it's eye arrangement. Live near streams in forests. This genus is common in Tawau Hills Park too. Capable of using silk to hang it's egg and itself on this light pole. Brown in color with wavy white and dark lines. Picture 3 shows it's ordinary resting position while the rest of the photographs show it's alert pose.

Habitat:

Beside Ranau Hot Springs forest streams.

Notes:

If this is a Pisauridae, then the next thing to find is it's genus. This genus of spiders look different from the rest of the Pisauridae species. >>>Map accuracy : 3km radius.
