Abert squirrel

Sciurus aberti

Notes:

We see these squirrels at Camp Geronimo in northern Arizona. These squirrels have an amazing affinity for finding food in the scouts' tents and help teach the scouts a valuable lesson, not to leave food in tents and personal gear. It's a valuable lesson for when they start backpacking in bear country when they get older.
