Lamprima aurata
These can vary from copper-gold to a deep blue colour. This one is female and green-blue. About 25mm long overall and just clinging to the topmost part of a small spiny acacia.
In a local nature reserve. Glenfern Valley Reserve.
At last I found one. Found mostly in Victoria and Tasmania but occasionally southern NSW. Male was seen here about 3 years ago http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/802...
