Description:

A very low growing perennial herb with lavender flowers that have five petals. Often grows in large mats and prefers mountainous or higher elevations with well drained - rocky hillsides.

Habitat:

Spotted in the Cascade mountains at about 3400 ft.

Notes:

Range is western North America.
