Maybe the same type of butterfly as I have posted earlier. Maybe 3-4cm wingspan....bottom of wings I think are gray with spots...Here is a different spotting of mine that I believe is the same butterfly. The 4th photo shows the underside. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/113...

They are similar but I can't definitively say they're the same without the other view. I have many spottings ID'd at the genus or even family level. It's better to do that than have an incorrect ID. Hopefully someone else can help ID it further.

Hi Adam, this is a beautiful butterfly! It will be difficult to ID without seeing the other side of the wings but there are a couple in your area that look like this such as Silvery Blue and Rocky Mountain Azure. Unfortunately this would only leave you at the subfamily level of Polyommatinae. There are some great butterfly experts on here that may be able to give you a species ID. Good luck!
