Eudocimus albus

Description:

One of several white water/wetland birds. It has black tipped feathers on the underside of it wings, long down ward curved beak, and reddish to orangish colored legs similar to its beak.

Habitat:

It was observed wading in the shallow edge of an alum pond at a City nature park along side the surrounding boardwalk.
