Gray catbird, fledgling

Dumetella carolinensis

Description:

This fledgling was in the process of learning to fly. I first spotted it by a lilac bush; it proceeded to flutter/fly to my nearby vegetable garden and eventually went over to a large pine tree. The parents were tending it (next spotting).

Habitat:

My back yard.
