False Tiger Moth

Dysphania militaris

Description:

moth in Geometridae family

Habitat:

forested plateau,about 1000m

Notes:

I spotted this along the road in Phu Hin Rong Kla national park. It was on the ground and I thought something was wrong because it was just hanging nearly upside down on a small blade of grass and didn't move much, second photo. I think it was close to death as it didn't fly away as I approached and just crawled on my hand, third photo. I set it back after the photos.
