Description:

Orange/brown butterfly with white markings on wings and body.

Habitat:

Nectaring on thistle in open meadow.

Notes:

Passion Flower plants (Passiflora incarnata) were growing in the same meadow; this is a hostplant for Gulf Fritillary caterpillars. See http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/114...
