Northern Cardinal #2 (rough looking female)

Cardinalis cardinalis

Description:

This female was only on the ground, picking up seeds for a few seconds, before attracting attention of the other females, who chased her off. She is a bit rough looking around the face & seems to be missing some feathers up there. She has the peak feathers, seen in pic 2, but also has a spot seen in #3 where she looks to have some ruffled feathers. This particular day, there were many different Cardinal males and females in the yard.
