Description:

Larvae are highly variable but have a green or orange speckled head and anal plate, and yellow or orange horn (often black-tipped or largely blackened).

Habitat:

Often found on plants in the Onagraceae (Evening Primrose Family) and Rosaceae (Rose family).

Notes:

This caterpillar was feeding on Ozark sundrop plant (aka yellow evening primrose - Oenothera macrocarpa).
