Description:

The Widow Skimmer (Libellula luctuosa) is one of the group of dragonflies known as King Skimmers. The females and juveniles have brown bodies with yellow stripes. The adult's wings have broad dark basal stripes, males with broad white spots mid-wing.

Habitat:

Riparian hardwood forest.
