Hylobius abietis
Hylobius abietisis a 10–13 mm long weevil (without beek), dark brown with patches of yellow or light brown hairs arranged in irregular rows. It is considered the most important pest of conifer seedlings planted after clear felling throughout Europe.
Spotted in a prealpine forested area near a river.

Thanks you very much for dropping in PerHoffmannOlsen. I appreciate you searching further. If it can be of any help I have seen quite a few more of these in the area of spotting, an area where some pine trees are being felled.

Weevils are cool.
It is most certainly a Weevil, and it looks very much like the photo in your link. I would suggest they are the same Weevil.

Thanks for your comment freelancing. I have been looking at some local resources but still haven't found it...
Definitely a weevil - but bugguide.net will not show it since they only cover bugs in North America.
