I commented on a similar spotting to bugguide and they said that "Leucauge venusta does not make egg sacs like this although I see that a Google search for Leucauge venusta egg sacs turns up several photos of misidentified Mecynogea lemniscata egg sacs" http://bugguide.net/node/view/1169608/bg...

I can't find a site with photos of the egg sac, but if you Google it you get some results. Very unique!
