Pholcids are found in every continent in the world besides Antarctica where it is too cold. However, Pholcids are also quite commonly found in warm, dry places, such as household windows and attics.
Thanks, Atul and Angel - I really am a bit disappointed about the bad light I had...could have been so much better; but the spotting itself surprised me actually, going "whoo-hooo! what is that??"
