I found Southern Brown Argus in my book looked the closest match but this one has blue near the rear margin of the upper-side hind-wing and the orange on the upper-side fore-wing is fading. There are several others similar also.

Thanks Daniele, I had discounted that because my book shows it has blue fringes on the underside whereas in my pictures they show as pure white!
Chequered fringes are characteristic. Females are variable, often with small blue spots behind orange spots on upper side of hindwing:
