Snipe Fly

Chrysopilus sp

Description:

Mostly brown with a smoky-brown transparent area on the wing. Head is roundish and the fly often orients so they are head down on their perch. Legs are long relative to the body. I think this is C. quadratus, but am not quite sure.

Habitat:

I found this one just inside the edge of the woods at the back of my yard.
