American robin

Turdus migratorius

Description:

It has been an exciting day as I got to witness the juvenile male robin leave the nest just 30 min. after taking pics 1 and 2. Mom is in pic 3 - taken 5 days ago. That's the juvenile male in pics 4 and 5 with his sibling behind him. Pics 4 and 5 where taken 7 days ago. Notice the baby fuzz above his eye (pics 1,2 and 4). Mom and Dad are still feeding their other baby.

Habitat:

Under an elevated deck in the backyard.

Notes:

The checkered chest is typical of a juvenile male robin.
