Description:

An air plant with no roots, and is not a parasite. It is a related to Spanish Moss, Bromeliads and Pineapples. Crazy. The spiny leaves tangle up, grow and develop flowers.

Habitat:

These usually grow well in Southern humid areas in the shade, such as Live Oaks.

Notes:

Spotted in Gainesville growing on power lines.
