Ring necked parakeet

Psittacula krameri borealis

Description:

My lovely visitor this morning!

Habitat:

Found in Bangladesh, Pakistan, Northern India and Nepal to central Burma

Notes:

He arrives usually in the morning and stays on the blackboard/ devil tree calling very loudly that almost sounds like he's having a conversation!
Rose ring necked parakeets or Indian ring necked parakeets are common in my area. Here I have this young male parakeet visiting my garden almost everyday. The ring on his neck is faintly visible. He's sometimes seen sharing seeds with other visiting birds and squirrels, a trait he's learnt recently. Which is interesting! He used to occupying the feeding tray and wouldn't let the pigeons come close and I'm sure he picked up the trick from the pigeons :)
