Nice spotting

Yes, it looks like Calliandra haematocephala, which appears to have two common names in English: powder puff tree and red powder puff. But C. emarginata (pink powder puff or dwarf powder puff) is also a possibility. Genus Calliandra is in the legume family (Fabaceae) and is native to the Americas. Both C. haematocephata and C. emarginata have been introduced to Taiwan. C. emarginata is even featured on a Taiwan stamp issued in 2009!

Nice photo showing flower buds, flowers and leaves.

I think Calliandra haematocephala. Nice spotting, and welcome to PN.
