This is definitely a Carolina green anole, Anolis carolinensis. The browncoat comes out for a number of reasons. Temperature, anxiety, and heaven knows what else. You'll know a Carolina anole is gravely distressed or wounded if you see a jet black spot behind the eyes. This one doesn't quite have that -- so, if it is stressed, it's not too bad. The black dot behind the eye is the Big Sign of Devastation. :( This one is really beautiful. Great colors and awesome spotting!
