Funeral Jorunna

Jorunna funebris

Description:

It is a dorid nudibranch that can grow to 5 cm. The one found on the spotting contrasts with another tiny nudibranch situated on its left side, a Flabellina sp. which in this case may not be larger than 1-2 cm long. J. funebris is white with black circular markings, rhinophores and gill branches. It has a fuzzy appearance of black spots due to dense covering of thin erect papillae.

Habitat:

Mel's Rock in Lankayan, Sabah.
