Actually you do not have much of a choice regarding lizards on Malta. There is only one genus and species: Podarcis filfolensis. If it is from the main island of Malta and near the capital La Valletta it is Podarcis filfolensis maltensis. The other 4 subspecies are some part endemic to other islands. If you look at other pictures you might be surprised about the markings and colors. This must be one of the faint ones whcih were reported. I can not imagine that there is another one with this yellow throat.
