Spotting

Description:

Seal, approximately 1.5 meters long. A brown-grey color with its summer coat. Long whiskers.

Habitat:

Harborfront in Longyearbyen in Svalbard Island. Bay in Svalbard's arctic archipelago. This bay stays relatively warm throughout the year due to the West Spitsbergen Current that carries warm water from the south. The bay at Longyearbyen stays ice free throughout the year.

Notes:

This could either be a Bearded Seal or a Harbor Seal, by my estimate.

Thanks Xiaoxuan. How do you know? Did you find a resource I could look at?
