Common dog-violet; Violeta de monte

Viola riviniana

Description:

Weed in a house garden. We left these weeds to grow in our garden and this spring they bloomed revealing beautiful little violets. I found the same violets at the oak forest that grows 100 m. away from the house so they did not travel too far away. They grow naturally in the woods, usually oak and beech woods.

Habitat:

House garden.
