Chital

Description:

This female has a brown body with many white spots and a white throat. The male was nearby, but was hiding behind a bush so couldn't get photos of him.

Habitat:

In a open field surrounded by juniper trees in the hill country.

Notes:

Originally from India, they are one of many exotics now established in Texas after escaping from private hunting ranches.
