About an inch long with a 2 segment body. Black hard shell, close to 4 inch long antennas. It was lounging on my father's patio. It stayed long enough for me to snap these to pictures.
Try looking a Hickory Borer; Knulliana cincta sonorensis; http://bugguide.net/node/view/287820
The antennae look far too long to be the Asian longhorn beetle. Also, the pattern doesn't seem to match up. Here's more info about the ALB:http://bugguide.net/node/view/18855
I like this insect!
