Pequenos insetos de corpo ovalar e cor parda escura ou negra, revestidos de fina pubescência. Cabeça encaixada no protórax até os olhos; antenas claviformes; pernas medíocres. Small insects oval body and dark brown or black color, coated with thin pubescence. Head embedded in the prothorax to the eyes; claviform antennas; mediocre legs. The adult beetles are found on the foliage of plants. sometimes on flowers or on the bark of the trunks. Larvae are saprophytic.

Damage: Adults cause the destruction of the sheets, thereby reducing the photosynthetic area thereof, resulting in reduced production.
