A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Antilope cervicapra
When you see the whole herd, the kids are in the front and the parents are walking behind with the males keeping a watch on the group. Upon nearing any crossing, the kids start jumping and it is a site worth watching. The blackbuck is the only living species of the genus Antilope. The blackbuck is an ungulate species of antelope native to the Indian subcontinent that has been classified as near threatened by IUCN since 2003, as its range has decreased sharply during the 20th century.
Seen at Velavadar Balckbuck Sanctuary.
