Paropsisterna lineata
A dark coffee bean colour with a few lines of rich yellow and about 14mm long. Shiny but with lines of pitting. All dark face including pronotum.
On dry soil under eucalyptus trees in a local nature reserve. It might have fallen from branches above.
Another type of Eucalyptus leaf beetle.

Well there's another 5000+? that would also get the same common name and PN shows the common name when mousing over spottings so I can't learn real names. Other issues arise with multiple common names, names common to multiple creatures, and names differing in other parts of the world. Personally I think they are often useless and sometimes just confusing. I usually put any popular common names in notes but this time I forgot... fixing that now.
What about the common name of Eucalyptus Leaf Beetle. Do you have informations about that name for your beetle??
