Toothed Jelly Fungus

Pseudohydnum gelatinosum

Description:

Soft but rubbery grey fungi with the under surface covered with soft white gelatinous spines. One of these "plates" appeared stained a brown colour.

Habitat:

Growing out of a giant eucalyptus tree trunk - amongst moss.

Notes:

There are some better spottings of these on PN - spotted a lot more of these the following week !
