Ctenucha virginica
The Virginia Ctenucha is the most common of the Ctenucha moths. While they are day-flying moths, they are attracted to lights, and are frequent visitors at lights in Maine. I have found the same moth in New York, and the photo is a bit higher quality: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/116...
