Description:

The Rosy Maple Moth, Dryocampa rubicunda, is a beautiful moth commonly identified by its pink and yellow coloring. It is a frequent visitor to lights in the Northeastern United States. The moth is quite variable, with species appearing to be mostly pink, or sometimes mostly yellow. This Rosy Maple moth is somewhat due to the torrential rain the day before.

Saved from a spider web. Found during a trip to Gray, Maine. Attracted to outside light.
