Hummingbird Hawk-moth

Macroglossum stellatarum

Description:

A moth resembling a hummingbird! Macroglossum stellatarum shows here its very long proboscis. It is also characterized by its hovering behaviour, an audible humming sound, and its colour vision.

Habitat:

Spotted in a local garden. Distribution: throughout the northern Old World from Portugal to Japan, but is resident only in warmer climates.

Super pic, I can see some droplets on his proboscis, at the end which is near the flower.
