Description:

A mycotrophic plant, obtaining nutrients from fungi interconnected with mountain conifer roots. The snowplant and related plants lack chlorophyll (green pigment), and thus are unable to photosynthesize their own nutrients.

Habitat:

Mountain conifer forests.
