I use Peterson, Kaufman Advanced Birding, and Nat Geo guides. The references I add aren't always what I use for identification.

I really like David Allan Sibley... And I recommend it for any for any level bird watcher.
Cornell are no use when it comes to Juvs.
David Sibley's guides are better. Defiantly the world's best bird illustrator.

The only other similar gulls in this area are: Mew Gull, California Gull, Herring Gull, and Thayer's Gull. All of these lack either the pink legs, gray back, or bill color/pattern.
