With my Johan Muir Laws field guide on hand -while sitting in my beautiful armchair, let's not forget- I will dare to say that this bird seems to me like a Red-Shouldered Hawk. If the ID is incorrect, please by all means let me know! :-) I hope my humble attempt to identify this bird does not offend any experts of the official birding group of "Non-airmchair Royal Birding Society" ......(LOL)
Next to the road Hwy 1 in a coastal area next to mountains and cliffs and close to Brixby Bridge, CA.
