Jewel beetle

Castiarina cf, sexplagiata

Description:

A bright jewel beetle. I am told it is sexplagita bot not so sure. I have not observed an example with the centre yellow bar missing its red margin.

Habitat:

Feeding on inflorescence of the spiky tea tree.

Notes:

Today is our national Australia Day.

It looks like a hybrid sexplagiata x bella.
Nick has seen one the same and called it bella.
I don't know.
