Thank you Leuba! These clams gain a lot of attention in Japan as being a miraculous animal. Many people in Japan believe if you eat them they will strengthen your liver and cure hangovers. They are delicious and remarkable creatures anyway.
however simple, it's nice to see pictures of such creatures in their natural context - nice photo and thanks for the information.
