Spotting

Description:

This very colourful smallish (around 1 cm) weevil was common on this trip and seen at various altitudes from around 1000 m to 2100 m.

Habitat:

Beside the Manu Road which runs through both rainforest and cloud forest.

Notes:

Though common and distinctive I can not find photos of one like it to help with ID.

I can see similarities with some on the internet but none match and this was so common that I am sure when the correct name appear I will find a match.

Love the antennae! Maybe a species of Rhodobaenus?
