Nursery Web Spider

Nilus albocinctus

Description:

A common species of fishing spider (raft spider) on it's silk nest under a metal sign board. This one is a female. It is large compared to many other local spiders, it's central body is 13mm in length.Usually found near water edge when hunting but it will return to it's home or nest on land.

Habitat:

Around Rainforest Discovery Center (RDC), Sandakan, Sabah.

Notes:
