Description:

Medium size Skimmer, immature male - distinctive banding in wings - very common dragonfly in meadows near water. Mature males are blue-gray in color and retain boldly patterned black and white wings

Habitat:

Most commonly found at lakes and ponds, sometimes at streams, and sometimes well away from water.

Notes:

Seen in "borrow pit", NW corner of Foster Pond, The Holden Arboretum, Lake County, Kirtland Twp., Kirtland, OH
