Description:

This species was spotted close to its nest in a hollow of a tree. Markings as shown.

Habitat:

Spotted in an Ash Tree grove at Spring Mountain Ranch in the Mojave Desert, Red Rock Canyon. This is in a riparian area, fed by a spring from adjacent Mt. Charleston.
