Ghost Orchid

Description:

This rare epiphytic orchid is found in the south Florida sloughs among pop ash, pond apple and sometimes cypress trees. It is a leafless plant containing a photosynthetic root system which it uses to attach itself to the trees.

Habitat:

Sloughs of south Florida and Cuba.
