About 5 cm in length, and maybe 8 in wingspan.
Probably the commonest of dragonflies, favors stagnant water. Here, seen on a pond located on borders of a protected marshlands, in lowlands around lake Geneva (lac Leman), between Alps and Jura mountain ranges.
