What a shame. Even if it had been a venomous snake, if she had left it be it would have most probably looked for a way to escape. Snakes do not pursue humans. A bite is usually the last course of action when cornered, & even then venomous snakes will often give a dry bite, saving their venom for paralyzing its prey.

The scared lady next door with a garden ho happened to this snake! We have lived at our place for a year now and it's the first snake I've seen here. I don't know much about snakes and I have kiddos, just curious what kind it is! :)
