Great Blue Heron

Description:

Blue Gray Heron sharp yellow beak and long legs. This stately heron with its subtle blue-gray plumage often stands motionless as it scans for prey or wades belly deep with long, deliberate steps.

Habitat:

Rich Grissom Memorial Wetlands

Notes:

With a windy day the heron has a "bad hair day" with its feathery light plumage. Looks like old man with long beard and bad toupee.

Yes, it would have spent hours getting that featherdo just right only to have the wind mess up all that hard work. Stunning image though.
