A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Phylloscopus collybita
Lots of these wintering in this area. Maybe some recently split Iberian Chiffchaffs were present but I have made no attempt to separate them as it is almost impossible to separate them in the field at this time of year, if indeed there are any which have not migrated into Africa.
Bushes in old railway station on edge of coastal, tidal marshes.
The old railway track runs along and through parts of the northern edge of the marshes for several kilometres and has been converted to a green walk for most of its route. It provides excellent spotting for hundreds of species, including birds and butterflies.
