Description:

This flashy kingfisher spent time in the trees. my pictures of the bird in the tree are better but too large to upload. The bird has bright blue secondary feathers a bright red bill and a white throat. Gorgeous bird that seemed to love to pose

Habitat:

all of India and southern Asia. from Turkey to the Phillipines. It can live away from water as it eats almost any prey that fits its size.
